How to make Dandelions look pretty

These are taken with a 35mm lens with a 36mm extension tube attached.  It allows for placement of the subject right up to the lens.

For this shot I placed a flash on the ground behind the flower and pointed it so that the light was bounced off the built in reflector. Also, to trigger that flash, I poped up the built in flash, which added the foreground light.
